A Senior Principal Engineer leads storage architecture for next-generation Solid-State Drives (SSD) and System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms, focusing on performance definition and optimization. The role involves defining architectural interfaces between hardware, firmware, and NAND subsystems to deliver high-performance storage solutions for enterprise and hyperscale markets. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to innovate across latency, quality of service, throughput, and power efficiency.

Responsibilities

Architect and model SoC-to-FW interfaces to optimize data paths and quality of service
Define performance targets and metrics for new SSD product lines and platforms
Develop system-level performance models to predict SSD behavior under real-world workloads
Analyze firmware execution pipelines and hardware offload opportunities to improve latency
Lead bottleneck analysis across hardware, firmware, and NAND media layers
