About this role

The Senior Process Engineer develops, validates, and scales Alcoa's proprietary ASTRAEA electrolysis process from laboratory testing through pilot deployment and commercial implementation. This role provides technical ownership for safe and efficient operations, translating research findings into controlled technology packages while supporting commissioning, startup, and training. The position involves leading technology transfer activities, troubleshooting process performance, and mentoring engineering teams across global sites.

Responsibilities

Lead development and scale-up of proprietary electrolysis technology from laboratory to commercial implementation
Provide technical support for process performance including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Establish critical process parameters and lead technology transfer activities between research and operating facilities
