About this role

A Senior Product Security Engineer at Plaid designs and builds production-grade security services, libraries, and frameworks to automate vulnerability management and secure the developer ecosystem. The role involves architecting security controls, leading the vulnerability lifecycle, and collaborating with engineering teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline. This position focuses on making the secure path the default for all Plaid products while supporting incident response and security awareness initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design and develop security-critical services and components
Build and maintain VM Orchestration service to eliminate vulnerability classes
Automate vulnerability detection and remediation workflows within CI/CD pipelines
Partner with engineering teams to architect and implement security controls
Lead security initiatives to educate and support other engineering teams

Skills

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience building and scaling production servicesExperience with distributed systems and microservicesFamiliarity with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform)
