Temporal provides an open-source durable execution platform for building reliable, stateful, long-running applications and orchestrating microservices. It handles common distributed-systems complexity — retries, state persistence, timers, and error handling — so teams can ship features faster and make apps resilient to failures. Temporal is available as self-hosted software and a managed cloud service, with SDKs for popular languages and tooling for observability and scaling. Developers choose Temporal for its fault-tolerance, scalability, and improved developer productivity when implementing complex workflows.
