VAST Data is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its growing team and help define a new category in enterprise infrastructure by building the world's first Operating System for AI. The role involves partnering with sales teams to drive technical strategy, designing and presenting architectures for AI factories and modern data platforms, and advising customers on distributed storage, cloud-native solutions, and AI/ML infrastructure. The position requires strong expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, and modern data engineering concepts to help customers modernize their data architectures and support large-scale workloads.

Responsibilities

Partner with Account Executives to drive technical strategy throughout the sales cycle
Design and present architectures leveraging the VAST AI Operating System
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers building AI factories and modern data platforms
