Hatch is seeking an experienced Senior Tailings Engineer to join its Tailings and Mine Waste Management practice, focusing on the design, management, and delivery of integrated tailings, mine waste, and mine water solutions. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, supporting project execution from early-stage studies through to closure planning, and providing senior technical oversight. This position requires a degree-qualified Civil or Geotechnical Engineer with extensive experience in tailings management and a strong client-facing approach.

Responsibilities

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated tailings and mine waste management solutions
Lead site selection, dewatering technologies, and subsurface investigations for material characterisation
Oversee transport, conveyance, and disposal studies including embankment design and closure planning
