This role serves as an Underwriting Pharmacy Subject Matter Expert at HCSC, focusing on pharmacy pricing strategies, competitive analysis, and forecasting for renewals and Requests for Proposals. The employee will model claims expenses, negotiate benefit plans, and ensure the retention and profitability of existing health insurance business through accurate underwriting and adherence to regulatory guidelines. They will also coordinate with various departments to implement process improvements and maintain high-level service for clients and sales representatives.

Responsibilities

Model and forecast pharmacy claims and non-claims expenses
Articulate competitive differences in pharmacy proposals to stakeholders
Lead completion of RX quotes and strategic Requests for Proposals
Ensure renewal pricing aligns with business retention and profitability goals
Monitor PBM market trends to inform and adjust underwriting strategy
