About this role

Crusoe seeks an experienced workforce governance and employment compliance practitioner to own legal, regulatory, and policy program oversight across its People organization. This hands-on individual contributor role partners with Legal and People functions to design compliance frameworks for worker classification, I-9 verification, background screening, and AI governance rather than directly administering underlying programs. The ideal candidate will ensure the company meets all workforce-related obligations while maintaining audit-ready documentation and risk management strategies.

Responsibilities

Design and operate workforce classification governance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions
Own end-to-end I-9 and E-Verify program compliance and vendor management
Establish adjudication standards for pre-employment screening and adverse action processes
Monitor regulatory developments in employment law and translate them into operational workflows
Serve as primary liaison for internal and external People-related audits and risk mitigation
