About this role

KBR is seeking a Senior/Principal Systems Modeling & Simulation Engineer to join the Structural Engineering and Analysis team supporting NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Programs. This role provides structural engineering, analysis, and test support for cutting-edge aerospace projects, including space telescopes, earth science satellites, and robotic servicing missions. The position involves performing complex structural and optical performance analyses, developing analysis tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure mission success.

Responsibilities

Implement changes to structural models for composite moisture desorption and Invar growth analysis
Perform steady state and transient moisture desorption analysis for flight and TVAC test cases
Maintain and improve script database for Structural-Thermal-Optical Performance analysis workflows

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical disciplineMaster's degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline
