Senior/Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Perception Offline Driving Intelligence

This role is an applied machine learning position on Zoox’s Offline Driving Intelligence (ODIN) team, focused on developing multimodal large language models to improve autonomous driving. The engineer will build and refine models offline, then work with onboard teams to deploy them into Zoox’s robotaxi platform. The position emphasizes turning rich sensor data into better environmental understanding, hazard detection, and interpretation of driving restrictions. It directly contributes to the safety, reliability, and overall capability of Zoox’s fully autonomous vehicle fleet.
