Senior/Staff Software Engineer - Simulation Motion Planning

This role focuses on building and enhancing simulation agents that realistically model traffic participants such as vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists in urban environments for Zoox’s autonomous driving platform. The position supports validation of the autonomous driving stack by creating realistic and diverse human-like behaviors in simulation. It is highly collaborative, working with AI, QA, and validation teams to improve safety analysis and real-world performance. The work directly impacts Zoox’s ability to rapidly and safely deploy its fully autonomous vehicle fleet.
