About this role

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Shift Manager for Fab 9 in Essex Junction, VT, to lead a team of technicians managing CMP, CVD, and AME module maintenance. This 12-hour night shift role focuses on driving equipment stability, managing preventative maintenance, and fostering continuous improvement within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The manager will also be responsible for staff training, performance coaching, and collaborating on strategies to reduce cost and complexity.

Responsibilities

Manage CMP and CVD maintenance technicians on the production floor.
Drive overall equipment stability to meet critical manufacturing KPIs.
Lead day-to-day shift operations including preventative maintenance scheduling.
Develop and organize training programs to address team skill deficiencies.
Collaborate with engineers to implement best practices for reducing waste.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in STEM or manufacturingBachelor's degree in technical/STEM field (Preferred)3-5 years experience in semiconductor fabricator (Required)6+ years experience in semiconductor fabricator (Preferred)Technical skills/background within semiconductor fabricator for ten years (Preferred)
