Shipfitter

Shipfitters are responsible for reading, interpreting, and executing drawings and procedures to build, fit, and align structural components of naval ships. This role involves working in various environments, including high areas and confined spaces, to complete steel work for new construction, repair, and overhauls. The position requires strong math skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
