Shop Mechanic/ Welder

This skilled position involves making repairs to and maintaining road construction equipment and mechanical equipment such as trucks, trailers, batch plants, paving machines, bulldozers, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, asphalt paving and other equipment. The role requires operating and inspecting machines to diagnose defects, dismantling devices to remove defective parts, and welding broken parts and structural members. The employee must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily, including reading instructions, comprehending correspondence, and performing basic mathematical calculations. The position requires physical capabilities such as sitting, climbing, using hands to handle or feel, and occasionally lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
