About this role

LyondellBasell is seeking an experienced Site Analyst for the Olefins Optimization group to develop weekly economic operating plans and maximize asset value at Clinton, Iowa, or Morris, Illinois sites. This role acts as the primary interface between optimization planning, business, and manufacturing operations, requiring a deep understanding of olefins process technology and fermentation principles. The analyst will utilize simulation models, coordinate feedstock schedules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Develop and communicate weekly economic operating plans to optimize olefin assets.
Coordinate optimal plant feedstock schedules to maximize throughput and profitability.
Maintain and execute site planning models using chemical engineering principles.
Collaborate with operations to define constraints and develop solutions for production issues.
Monitor APC systems and benchmark performance against industry standards to drive value.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering8 years' experience in manufacturing, business planning, or supply chainChemical Engineer with Olefins unit experience (preferred)
