Farm Sanctuary is a U.S.-based nonprofit that rescues and provides lifelong care to farmed animals while operating sanctuaries and promoting compassionate, plant-based living. The organization pursues solutions to end industrial animal agriculture through rescue, public education, advocacy and policy work aimed at systemic change. It engages the public with farm visits, volunteering, adoption and sponsorship programs, and campaigns to shift diets and improve farmed-animal welfare. Farm Sanctuary combines hands-on care with outreach and advocacy to advance a world where sanctuary replaces exploitation.
