Sitter

This role serves to protect patients who are at risk for falls, impulsive behaviors, or psychiatric illnesses by providing one-on-one observation and de-escalation. The non-clinical employee assists with simple patient care needs, maintains a safe environment, and engages in therapeutic communication to support patient well-being. The position requires constant direct or virtual observation of assigned patients and may involve transporting patients across hospital units.
