About this role

This is a non-compensated SkillBridge fellowship opportunity for transitioning U.S. military service members to gain hands-on experience in gas turbine engine assembly and testing. Participants will work directly on building subassemblies, modules, and accessories for new Pratt & Whitney engines under supervision. The role provides a pathway to future employment within the aerospace and defense industry upon successful completion of the fellowship.

Responsibilities

Prepare parts and build subassemblies for new gas turbine engines
Perform mechanical work to overhaul engines and related components
Assist with engine test operations and component testing
Use specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections
Measure components to assure overall dimensions conform to specifications
