The Snowmaking Operator is responsible for starting up and shutting down snowmaking equipment, monitoring snow production and quality, and positioning guns and hoses as needed. The role includes routine equipment maintenance, manual labor tasks, and occasional assistance with other resort operations, especially during peak winter periods.
China Peak Mountain Resort is a California ski and winter-vacation destination on scenic Huntington Lake, about 65 miles northeast of Fresno, offering a Sierra experience comparable to many Lake Tahoe resorts. The mountain features 1,679 feet of vertical (base 7,030 ft, peak ~8,700 ft) served by seven chairlifts, a T‑bar and three moving carpets, with terrain for beginners through advanced skiers and snowboarders. China Peak offers lessons, equipment rentals, season passes and lift‑ticket deals, plus snow reports and webcams, making it a convenient, family‑friendly option for Central Valley and Sierra visitors.
