The Pumphouse Operator III is an advanced technical role responsible for the safe, reliable, and independent operation of Purgatory Resort’s snowmaking pumphouse, booster system, and associated water and compressed-air systems. This position involves operating, monitoring, and optimizing pumps, compressors, VFDs, cooling systems, controls, automation, and snowmaking additive treatment systems while managing system pressure, flow, and equipment loading. The role requires advanced troubleshooting, system startup and shutdown procedures, and coordination with field crews to ensure efficient snowmaking operations.
