A 12-week Software Application Developer internship supporting the NOAA GOES-R Series geostationary weather satellites. The role places students on teams that develop, integrate, and deploy software to process, distribute, visualize, and monitor satellite imagery and environmental observations. Interns apply programming skills to weather, climate, ocean, and space-weather applications that support forecasting and situational awareness. The preferred duty location is NOAA/NWS Headquarters in Silver Spring, MD, with possible remote participation for well-qualified candidates.
