About this role

Captivation Software seeks a mid-level to senior Software Engineer to modernize a Java-based application with an Angular front end and PostgreSQL backend. The role involves architecting microservices, migrating to Spring Boot, and deploying containerized solutions on AWS cloud environments. Candidates will work within an Agile Scrum team to deliver complex software capabilities while supporting national security missions.

Responsibilities

Design and implement Java and Angular applications for mission critical systems
Architect and migrate applications to Spring Boot and microservices patterns
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and PostgreSQL database interactions
Containerize applications and manage deployment on AWS cloud infrastructure
Administer GitLab CI/CD pipelines and support four-week Agile sprint cycles
