About this role

This is an early-career opportunity for a Software Engineer to join Cadence's Solver team, where you will build and extend high-performance, physics-based simulation software used globally. You will work alongside experienced engineers and computational scientists to develop tools for complex physical systems, including Computational Fluid Dynamics applications. The role involves implementing new functionality, debugging defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software features extending solver capabilities across CPU and GPU platforms
Implement new functionality in pre- and post-processing code ensuring performance and correctness
Debug and troubleshoot defects systematically while maintaining application performance
Write and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests as part of the development workflow
Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions
