About this role

As a Software Engineer specializing in Network Automation for Data Center Fabrics, you will design and build systems to operate large-scale networks within Mistral's data centers. The role requires applying deep networking expertise to leaf-spine architectures, automation, and production troubleshooting across Ethernet switching, IP routing, and overlay technologies. You will translate fabric requirements into APIs and automation while building reliable control-plane software and participating in on-call rotations to resolve network incidents.

Responsibilities

Design and evolve leaf-spine underlays and EVPN/VXLAN overlays for multi-tenant AI infrastructure
Build reliable control-plane software that reconciles desired and observed network states
Develop lab and production tests to turn operational lessons into better software and architecture
Participate in on-call rotation to troubleshoot active data-center network incidents and restore service
Review designs and code while explaining networking trade-offs to raise engineering quality
