About this role

Redwood Software is seeking a Software Engineer to build a new connectivity agent that extends Redwood RunMyJobs natively onto IBM z/OS, enabling support for large enterprise automation environments. The role involves systems-level engineering, including custom wire protocols, cryptography, and native platform integration into JES, RACF/SAF, SMF, TSO, and z/OS UNIX System Services. This position is open across levels from Software Engineer to Principal as the team expands.

Responsibilities

Design and develop native software for IBM z/OS mainframe connectivity and integration
Build integrations with core mainframe technologies including JES2/JES3, TSO, and SMF
Implement cryptographic primitives and secure wire protocols for mainframe environments
