About this role

Cerebras Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to build and evolve the ML API layer for its disaggregated AI inference systems, combining GPU-accelerated prefill with ultra-fast decode on the Cerebras Wafer-Scale Engine. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining production ML inference APIs to deliver a consistent and reliable user experience across heterogeneous serving systems. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable new model architectures, optimize serving performance, and ensure functional correctness in a production environment.

Responsibilities

Build production ML inference APIs for chat completions and streaming
Integrate emerging foundation models and tokenizers into the serving platform
Optimize serving performance including latency, throughput, and batching
