Sorter

The Sorter Position is responsible for evaluating the wholesomeness and fitness of each carcass, ensuring unwholesome parts are properly disposed of and not used as human food. If a carcass appears wholesome, it proceeds to the USDA Carcass Inspector, while localized condemnable conditions are removed and disposed of properly. The role requires the proper use of a knife sharpener and PPE, along with lifting up to 10 lbs in a hot and wet environment.
