Special Conflicts Attorney

This full-time position represents financially qualified criminal defendants and indigent parents in juvenile dependency cases when the Public Defender's Office is unable to do so due to conflicts of interest. The role involves managing individual caseloads and providing legal representation across all levels of the litigation process, from inception through the exhaustion of appeals. The attorney works independently within legal and policy guidelines to ensure effective representation for clients.
