Special Education Instructional Assistant - Paraprofessional

Under the direction of a licensed administrator, this position is responsible for monitoring and presenting reinforcing skills with small groups of students or one-on-one, maintaining and updating student records, and monitoring academic and behavioral progress. The role may involve assisting classroom teachers with lesson planning, preparing instructional materials, monitoring students in non-classroom settings, and assisting in test administration. Some instructional assistants may also help with translation or verbal communication using second language skills when possible.
