Special Education Paraeducator

Under the supervision of the Special Education classroom instructor and building Principal, the Special Education Paraeducator assists in the supervision of instructional activities and works closely with students on an individual and small group basis. The role involves providing special education services and supports to elementary and/or secondary students eligible for special education, including one-to-one and group instruction, assessing student progress, and implementing behavioral management strategies. The position requires maintaining accurate data on student progress, assisting with instructional materials, and addressing student needs such as bathroom assistance and feeding.
