Special Education Teacher

The Special Education Teacher at Kathryn Jones Harrison Elementary is responsible for instructing and supervising a diverse group of children by establishing a positive, respectful learning environment and providing varied learning opportunities. The role involves planning and implementing specially designed instruction, coordinating student evaluations, and facilitating the development of individualized education programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal requirements. This position requires collaboration with regular education teachers, parents, and community members to support the academic and behavioral progress of students with disabilities.
