About this role

Bloomingdale International IB School is seeking an experienced and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Coordinator to lead and strengthen inclusive education and student support practices across the PYP, MYP, and DP programmes. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to support students with diverse learning needs, ensuring an accessible learning environment, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and external specialists. The coordinator will be responsible for creating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), providing teacher training, and maintaining accurate documentation for student progress and school compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement whole-school SEN and inclusion frameworks aligned with IB principles
Create and monitor Individualized Education Plans and individualized support strategies for students
Lead teacher training on inclusive education, differentiation, and Universal Design for Learning principles

Skills

Qualifications

Postgraduate qualification in Special Education, Educational Psychology, Psychology, or a recognized field related to SENIB-certified training in Inclusion, Learning Support, or SEN CoordinationCertification or training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Dyslexia Therapy, Educational Psychology, or related areas
