Specialist Substance Misuse Practitioner

Waythrough is seeking a Specialist Substance Misuse Practitioner to join the Safeguarding Families Together model within Children’s Services in Dorset. This role involves providing specialist drug and alcohol expertise to safeguarding teams, supporting parents and carers whose substance use impacts child safety. The position focuses on identifying risk earlier, engaging families compassionately, and reducing escalation into Child Protection proceedings through a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.
