About this role

We are seeking a Specialty Pharmacy Technician to join our program at Nebraska Medicine, working primarily at the Hub Pharmacy with potential rotations to the Durham Outpatient Center. This role involves assisting pharmacists with complex medication therapies, managing patient adherence, processing claims, and dispensing specialty drugs while maintaining URAC accreditation standards. The position requires collaboration across a multidisciplinary care team to eliminate barriers to access and ensure optimal patient outcomes for complex therapies.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in managing patients receiving specialty medications
Provide adherence management to specialty patients and support care team goals
Process claims and assist with dispensing of specialty medications
Complete necessary documentation to maintain URAC pharmacy accreditation
Perform moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a calculator

Qualifications

Licensed Nebraska Pharmacy InternRegistered Pharmacy Technician with Nebraska Board of PharmacyPharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or equivalent)
