About Constructivebio

constructive.bio

Constructive Bio is a Cambridge, UK synthetic biology company, spun out of the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, that designs and manufactures proteins and long-chain peptides incorporating non-canonical amino acids (ncAAs) using Syn61, the world's first fully recoded genome. Their proprietary BioForge platform enables scalable biological production of complex proteins with novel chemistries — including site-specific conjugation, covalent binding, and improved metabolic stability — unlocking next-generation therapeutics, advanced materials, and sustainable manufacturing applications. By expanding the genetic code beyond what natural biology or AI can access alone, Constructive Bio partners with pharmaceutical and industrial companies to develop molecules that conventional synthesis cannot achieve.
