The Speech Language Pathologist provides prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students with difficulties in language, speech, voice, and fluency. Utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, the role helps children meet their educational goals. This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year.
SOWIC (Southern Will County Cooperative for Special Education) is a regional educational cooperative located in Joliet, Illinois, serving ten school districts and approximately 2,240 students with disabilities across all of Will County. SOWIC directly operates specialized programs including Education & Life Skills, Communication Adaptive Behavior (CAB), the Joseph E. Fisher Therapeutic Program, the SOWIC Education Center, and Early Childhood Programs. It also supports member districts through shared staffing, professional development via SOWIC Academy, and a full continuum of special education services aligned with students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
