Special Olympics Northern California (SONC) is a nonprofit regional chapter that provides year‑round sports training, competition, health services, and leadership programs for people with intellectual disabilities across Northern California. SONC empowers athletes and advances inclusion through programs like Unified Sports, Young Athletes, community events, volunteer and coaching opportunities, and health screenings. Working with schools, families, sponsors and volunteers, SONC promotes athlete leadership and community engagement under the motto “Better Together.”
