PierSight
This role involves leading the design and development of large deployable reflectarray antennas for spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar payloads. The position requires expertise in electromagnetic simulation, antenna optimization, and collaboration with mechanical teams to ensure performance and manufacturing tolerances. The engineer will also oversee antenna characterization, measurement campaigns, and vendor evaluation for fabrication.
PierSight designs and builds mission-specific synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems — including a constellation of SAR + AIS satellites (Varuna) for persistent maritime surveillance and a drone-agnostic foliage-penetrating SAR payload (Vidura) for defense and tactical reconnaissance. Their systems deliver persistent, all-weather, day-and-night intelligence for use cases such as EEZ monitoring, IUU fishing detection, oil spill detection, counter-insurgency, and cross-border surveillance. PierSight serves defence agencies, government operators, and commercial customers including shipping companies, maritime insurers, and fisheries managers.
