About this role

The Sr. BESS Development Engineer will support design and development activities for storage and storage‑plus projects, overseeing the engineering process from feasibility through early design and technical procurement. The role involves creating technical standards, leading system architecture, managing cross‑functional project development, and evaluating technology and vendor solutions to advance utility‑scale energy storage initiatives.

Responsibilities

Develop technical standards and design templates for BESS and PV projects
Lead system design and architecture including battery and PV module selection
Manage early‑stage design process with EPCs and Owner’s Engineers
Evaluate and qualify new BESS and PV technology solutions
Support interconnection studies, grid compliance, and permitting packages
