About this role

FIS is seeking an experienced IT Architect Specialist to lead the design and implementation of modern cloud-native data platforms and pipelines on Microsoft Azure. This role involves defining scalable solutions, establishing technical standards, and guiding development teams while leveraging expertise in Data Engineering, Azure, Databricks, and .NET architecture. The ideal candidate will mentor teams, drive engineering excellence, and partner with product and engineering stakeholders to ensure alignment on architectural roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Define and communicate the data and application architecture roadmap for cloud-native platforms
Design scalable, secure, and resilient data platforms leveraging Azure services and Databricks
Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices
Architect end-to-end data pipelines supporting ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption
Serve as a technical mentor and role model for engineering teams
