About this role

The Senior Principal Network Security Engineer leads the design, engineering, and delivery of complex, multi-team network security initiatives for Northern Trust. As the highest-level individual contributor, this role drives architecture decisions for enterprise perimeter and internal segmentation while mentoring engineers and ensuring operational resiliency through automation.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering delivery of complex network security and application delivery projects
Architect and implement Check Point firewall solutions with policy lifecycle management
Design and engineer F5 load balancing solutions for traffic management and high availability
Develop and maintain automation for network security operations and compliance validation
Mentor senior engineers and provide technical leadership through architecture reviews
