Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Optical Engineer to serve as the Responsible Engineer for the Integrated Dewar Cryo Assembly (IDCA) supporting the Launch Vehicles business unit in Chandler, Arizona. The role involves technical oversight of the IDCA, close proximity electronics, and system avionics interfaces, including vendor coordination, integration, testing, and documentation to ensure performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

Serve as IDCA responsible engineer overseeing design and verification
Define and manage requirements and interface control for IDCA and CPE
Coordinate cross‑functional teams for system integration and test
Lead supplier development and hardware qualification efforts
Develop and execute environmental and functional test campaigns
