The Senior Structural Analyst at Blue Origin supports the design, manufacturing, and operations of the New Glenn heavy-lift launch vehicle. The role involves performing detailed hand calculations and Finite Element Model simulations, creating analysis documentation, and providing technical guidance to design engineers and junior staff. Candidates will analyze structural subsystems for weight optimization and support production issues while ensuring safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed hand calculations and FEM analysis of aerospace structures
Drive hardware discrepancies to resolution and disposition nonconformances
Document stress analysis to support the release of engineering drawings
Provide technical guidance on design concepts and repair methods
Support subsystem test planning, execution, and data reduction

Skills

Qualifications

BS in Aerospace EngineeringBS in Mechanical Engineering7+ years experience in launch vehicle structuresProficiency in Ansys or NastranKnowledge of engineering materials
