About this role

Nextpower is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Project Engineering Team in Mexico City, supporting key accounts across the U.S. and North America markets. The role involves managing day-to-day structural engineering tasks for foundations of utility-scale PV projects from development through construction, including wind load calculations, steel design, and structural documentation. The position requires close coordination with cross-functional teams globally and occasional site visits to supervise geotechnical investigations and foundation installation.

Responsibilities

Produce civil and structural design documentation including drawings and calculations
Perform structural analyses for wind, seismic, and foundation loads
Support project development by reviewing site information and contributing to cost estimations
Provide construction phase support by responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain standards and design tools
