About this role

This General Accounting Partner role supports Petco's financial operations by participating in month-end closing, monitoring general ledger entries, and analyzing accounts to ensure audit compliance. The incumbent serves as a business partner across various functional areas including accounts payable, receivable, inventory, leases, and payroll, developing procedures and resolving moderate to complex accounting variances.

Responsibilities

Execute month-end closing processes and monitor general ledger entries
Reconcile accounts, perform accruals, and explain variances to management
Develop new accounting procedures and processes for assigned functions
Analyze complex data sets and resolve financial discrepancies
Provide business partner support across multiple accounting functional areas
