Staff Android Engineer

This role leads the design, development, and evolution of build systems and CI infrastructure for Uber's Android apps, ensuring fast, reliable, and cost-efficient builds at monorepo scale. The engineer owns the Android build end-to-end, driving initiatives to reduce latency, eliminate flakiness, and modernize tooling while mentoring teams and setting technical direction. Collaboration across Android Platform, CI Platform, and product teams is essential to deliver organizational improvements.
