Redwood Materials
The Staff Battery Test and Validation Engineer owns and runs Redwood's battery characterization program, serving as the technical authority on testing protocols and execution for second-life battery systems. This on-site role translates performance and compliance questions into test matrices, manages concurrent campaigns across cell, module, and pack levels, and analyzes data to inform pack qualification decisions. The position requires strong expertise in lithium-ion cell behavior, electrochemical characterization techniques, and data analysis to drive lab infrastructure strategy and automate workflows.
Redwood Materials is building a domestic stockpile of critical battery materials and deploying large-scale energy storage systems to power data centers and the nation’s grid. The company recovers and refines end-of-life batteries and manufacturing scrap into battery‑grade materials, helping close the loop on the battery supply chain. By scaling recycling, materials production, and grid-scale storage, Redwood aims to secure resilient U.S. supply chains for electrification while reducing the environmental impact of battery production.
