The Staff Engineer, Lighting Systems (Resident Engineering) serves as the primary on-site technical owner for plant-related lighting topics, supporting launch readiness, production stabilization, and issue resolution. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical design, hardware integration, and supplier coordination skills to ensure lighting components meet engineering and quality expectations. The position involves acting as a technical liaison between global engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing organizations to drive continuous improvement and program milestones.

Responsibilities

Act as on-site technical owner for lighting systems during prototype builds and production stabilization
Lead root cause analysis for lighting concerns and coordinate containment and corrective action plans
Coordinate engineering changes and design improvements to support production readiness and program timing

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
