Archer
As a Manufacturing Design Engineering lead at Archer, you will bridge aircraft design and production by driving manufacturing strategy for all-electric vertical takeoff and landing structures. You will provide technical direction for structural assembly, own the lifecycle of component builds, and serve as a subject matter expert on the shop floor to ensure quality and schedule adherence. This role involves mentoring engineering teams and collaborating cross-functionally to establish best-in-class manufacturing solutions for prototype and early production phases.
Archer designs and develops electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft — electric air taxis — for use in urban air mobility networks. The company’s mission is to “unlock the skies,” enabling people to reimagine how they move and spend time by bringing on-demand, low‑emission aerial transit to cities. Archer’s team is based in Santa Clara, California and is focused on advancing aircraft design, testing, and commercialization.
