Steerman

The Steerman is responsible for operating the rear steering axles of large or articulated trailers to keep oversized and heavy haul loads aligned and on course during transit. The role involves communicating with the front driver, navigating tight routes, providing a safety buffer as a chase pilot, and assisting with traffic management, roadside inspections, and minor mechanical issues.
